We are Health Cost IQ
We reclaim the millions of dollars and millions of lives lost to healthcare inefficiencies.
Our Manifesto
Healthcare is broken.
Up to half of private employer healthcare spending is waste. Providers charge 3-5x market rates. Too many middlemen stand between patients and doctors. Pricing for procedures and prescription drugs is as opaque as an iceberg. And despite all the personal health information being collected, and technological innovation in the market, better decisions aren’t being made. People are missing out on healthcare options that could save their life.
We believe this is unacceptable.
Every dollar wasted on healthcare inefficiency is a dollar stolen from innovation, from an individual’s wellbeing, and from growth. In an era where we can predict weather patterns weeks in advance and recommend the perfect movie, we should be able to predict and prevent healthcare cost catastrophes.
Intelligence should serve those who need it most.
In a world drowning in AI hype, we offer something different: enriched intelligence built on truth. Closed and secure, clean from the foundation, near-zero hallucinations. Because in healthcare, trust isn’t a marketing term—it’s a requirement. When organizations use HCIQ, they achieve 20-30% cost reductions in the first year. That’s not incremental improvement. That’s transformation—for the employer AND the employee.
We don’t want to simply show you what happened. We want to help you prevent what shouldn’t happen in the first place. The future of healthcare intelligence isn't reporting—it's real-time intervention and decisions made automatically, accurately, and immediately.

Jude Odu
Founder, President, and Chief Product Officer
Health Cost IQ (HCIQ) was inspired by founder Jude Odu’s doctoral research into rising healthcare costs in the United States. He discovered that although wasteful healthcare spending at the national level has hovered around 30% for years, the situation within private employers was far worse.
A seasoned and respected healthcare professional for over two decades, Jude’s career in the health industry spans acute care hospitals, commercial payers, software, and academics. He spent years managing clinical analytics and decision support systems for University Hospitals, a multi-hospital health system in Northeast Ohio and worked in the commercial healthcare software industry developing high-impact software solutions for diverse areas such as value-based reimbursement, critical care, population health management, healthcare operations, patient risk-adjustment, and predictive modeling.
An author of several college-level books, Jude holds a Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration (Summa cum Laude) from Ursuline College, a Master’s in Health Science from The George Washington University, and is an All But Dissertation (ABD) Ph.D. candidate with research interests in healthcare quality outcomes and their correlations with hospital reimbursement rates. Over the years, he has developed and taught college-level courses in healthcare informatics, EHR systems, and business intelligence.

Due to its success, the company was purchased by Kompass Kapital, where Lyn stayed on for several years. He joined Health Cost IQ because, in his words, “nothing has energized me quite like what this company has built.” His passion for driving healthcare transformation combined with his deep industry insight allows Lyn to create lasting growth for companies and their clients across the healthcare ecosystem.
